PARKING - there is parking available near the Beach Centre, by the soccer field, around the schools, and lots behind the Fire Hall. If you are parking on a street, tires must be off the pavement. There is NO parking on Beech St. around the Park. Hall Street is closed off between Beech and Spruce Streets as well.
STREET CLOSURE - traffic flow onto the island will be stopped at 1:45, until the parade is over (generally takes about an hour)
3:45pm - Pie Eating Contest - Seacaps Park
4:00pm - Awards Ceremony/Day Pass Draw, other draws - Seacaps Park
4:00-6:00pm - Baked Beans and Brown Bread Supper - at the Lockeport United Baptist Church.
4:30pm - Waterfront Concert - featuring 2016 NS Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, JAMIE COTTER (along with his band, "The Country Gentlemen") - waterfront stage, down by the White Gull Restaurant
6:00-8:00pm - "Chase the Ace" - Lockeport Legion, 12 Beech Street (Draw at 8:15pm). Put on by the Lockeport Legion and Harmony Bazaar.
6:30pm start - Annual Grease Pole - South Government Wharf
8:00pm - Lighthouse Youth Concert - Featuring hip-hop group, THREE SHEET - Seacaps Park
9:00pm - Family Field Dance, featuring music by DJ CoryNick - Seacaps Park
10:00pm - Fireworks Display - Lockeport Volunteer Athletic Fields (in case of bad weather, the fireworks will be held the next fine evening)

10:00am - Annual Sidewalk Chalk Contest (special "Women's Suffrage Movement" and "animation" categories this year) - Seacaps Park
11:00am - Bake Walk - Seacaps Park. Put on by the Ragged Islands Historical Society.
2:00pm - Annual Pet Show - Surf Lodge Nursing Home
2:30-5:00pm - Chip BINGO for Prizes - at the Lockeport Legion.
4:00pm - Duct Tape Boat Races - "Freddy's" Beach
7:30pm - Business Challenge (extra points for costumed participation) - Seacaps Park
9:30pm - "Lockeport Rocks" Concert - DRESSED 2 KILL (KISS tribute band); with opening act Phillip Harding and David Dobson - Seacaps Park (beer garden on site)
ADVANCE TICKETS - $30 for BOTH Lockeport Rocks Concerts (Thursday and Saturday nights). Available until June 29 at the Town Market, or online, via e-transfer ([email protected]). Minglewood concert alone is $25 in advance, or $30 at the door. The Dressed 2 Kill concert alone is $15 in advance, or $20 at the door.
