Shelburne Municipality chief administrative officer Kirk Cox has announced that he is leaving that job after eight years.
Cox told SCT he will stay on long enought for MODS to find a replacement and to acquaint the new CAO with the Municipality's operations.
He has told reporters that there have been many challenges along the way and that municipal politics has become less positive and constructive in recent years.
Cox plans to continue in his role as executive director of Nova Scotia's Craft Brewers Association and return to consulting on economic development and government relations projects.
