Major waterfront art project in Shelburne looks to spring installation

Even after reaching full funding for its first major work of art, Shelburne’s public art committee is still waiting to install a 26-foot-tall aluminum, wind-inspired sculpture by artist Brad Hall.

On July 1 the “Small town. Big art.” committee announced that it had reached its fundraising goal. The plan was then to have this sculpture installed in time for last September’s Whirligig and Weathervane Festival in Shelburne.

However, transportation logistics got in the way.

Photos of the sculpture can be viewed at www.shelburnenovascotia.com/artproject.htm.
