SHELBURNE FARMERS & ARTISANS MARKET

SATURDAYS 9:00AM - 1:00PM
GUILD HALL

German Baker from Paul's in Sable River now at Farmers' Market... bread, rolls, cakes, desserts... special buttermilk cake and cheese cake... by the whole or slice!

The Shelburne Farmers Market debuts its fifth season Saturday, on June 15, this year at the Guild Hall on Maiden Lane. The market will be open from 9 am to 1 pm every Saturday to the end of October.

Market organizers believe the Guild Hall and neighbouring Market Square, a bustling commercial and social venue in the film The Scarlet Letter, will prove to be a fitting home for a modern market that honours the wisdom and values of the past.

As with every season, market vendors represent a mixture of old and new, according to organizers. Some vendors have been with the market from its inception, including organic farmer Victor Naugler, who always has an extensive selection of greens in the spring and vegetables throughout the growing season. Trevor Perry of Forest Hills Farm sells his popular grass-fed beef, free range chicken and lamb. Prescilla and Donnie Goodwin offer a table of fresh, Valley-grown vegetables and fruit and Keiko King will bring her delicious sushi back to the market.

The market welcomes a number of new vendors and products for the 2013 season. Jammin’ by Jackie remains at the market with jams and jellies and other unique items and it is hoped that youthful entrepreneurs Ben and Brittany Holmes may still sell breakfast sandwiches.

The Market is known for its warm welcome extended to local musicians.
