Dear Mayor Mike Savage, the dismissive and perfunctory manner in which you breezed past our striking journalists today was appalling. Strong newspapers and strong journalists are an important part of any community. By shrugging off the plight of 61 newsroom workers who are in WEEK 6 of a bitter labour dispute, you showed an arrogant lack of compassion and concern, not only for our members, but for your entire municipality and its citizens. Shame on you.
