With the theme of “quilting at its finest,” the Musée des Acadiens des Pubnicos (West Pubnico, NS) is revealing the magnificent art of quilting.
The Acadian region that first brought quilting to North America offers an educational series and competition.

Every Thursday afternoon (1:30 -3:30) you can participate in a Quilting Bee and participate in the art of quilting demonstrated by local quilters
The goal is to preserve and promote traditional hand quilting as done by French Acadian in Pubnico since the 1650s. The Pubnico region counts among just 2 baronial concessions ever granted in Canada, and has hosted French settlements at least since Champlain landed here in 1604/05.
