Yarmouth Art Society Life Members' show
The Yarmouth Art Society will honour its nine life members with a 12-week show of their work in the Community Room of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Western Branch this fall.
The exhibit will run from November 23rd to February 17th.
Founded in the early 1950s, the Yarmouth Art Society has fostered and encouraged creative expression and development among its membership of both professional and amateur artists.
Life members are recognized for theirlong-term contributions to the Society and for their artistic achievements.
Life members whose work will be highlighted are Hugh Eamon, Alex Gigeroff, Margaret Chipman, Louise Mullen, Lois Allen, Ruth Rideout, Alva Bain, Thaya Whitten, and Barbara Doucette.
An opening reception will be held Saturday, November 24th at 2:00 p.m.
The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Western Branch in Yarmouth is located at 341 Main Street, Yarmouth. Its establishment helps fulfill the Gallery's mandate of making art more accessible across the province and bringing the visual arts and Nova Scotians together.
