The Nova Scotia Health Authority announced Monday that the emergency department at Roseway Hospital, Shelburne, will be closed for 24 hours on Monday, December 28, closing at 8 a.m., and reopening Tuesday, December 29 at 8 a.m.
The news release distributed two hours after the closure said that the closure was due to lack of a physician and a registered nurse

Wednesday, September 30, closed starting at 6:30 p.m. and reopening Thursday morning, October 1, at 8:00 a.m. This is due to physician and registered nurse availability.
There will be scheduled closures of the Roseway Hospital emergency department in August. These scheduled closures are due to the unavailability of a physician. The emergency department will be closed:
Saturday, August 1, from 8:00 a.m. until Sunday morning, August 2, at 8:00 a.m.
Shelburne area citizens plan to meet on Tuesday evening, March 24 to discuss the Emergency Room crisis at Roseway Hospital. The community meeting is at 7:00pm at the Shelburne Community Centre, 63 King Street. All are welcome
